HitTail - A Long Tail Keyword Tool

HitTail is a useful service that reveals in real-time the least utilized, most promising keywords hidden in the Long Tail of your natural search results. You add a small piece of code into your webpage and search engine traffic is logged and the search keywords recorded.

Some of these keywords can be used as the topic of new site content or blog posts, boosting the natural search results of your site. Simple idea and very effective.

Most Web tools today isolate you from the data you need to improve your website from a natural-search point-of-view. Built with sophisticated algorithms and patent-pending technology, HitTail zeros in on that data, showing you every search hit that has led to your site and then extracts the underperforming keywords. These keywords are displayed as suggestions for writing topics.

I’ve been running the free HitTail service on a few websites for a few weeks now and I’m very impressed with the information it delivers. I’m considering upgrading to the Plus or Premium memberships.

Wi-Fi Detector Shirt At ThinkGeek.com…

My fave store for all things slightly geeky, ThinkGeek.com is selling a Wi-Fi detecting shirt…

Here at ThinkGeek we’re pretty lazy when it comes to technology. We expect our gadgets to do all the busywork while we focus on the high level important tasks like reading blogs. That’s why we hate to have to crack open our laptops just to see if there is any wi-fi internet access about… and keychain wi-fi detectors, we would have to actually remove them from our pockets to look at them. But now thanks to the ingenious ThinkGeek robot monkeys you can display the current wi-fi signal strength to yourself and everyone around you with this stylish Wi-Fi Detector Shirt. The glowing bars on the front of the shirt dynamically change as the surrounding wi-fi signal strength fluctuates. Finally you can get the attention you deserve as others bow to you as their reverential wi-fi god, while geeky chicks swoon at your presence. You can thank us later.

They also have many other uber-cool items. Check them out for cool gift ideas or just for something extra special for yourself. ;)
