Mozilla has released Firefox 3 Alpha 5. This version is intended for both developers and beta testers but not end users.
Codenamed “Gran Paradiso” after the highest mountain group in the Graian Alps, Firefox 3 is
being built on top of the next generation of Mozilla’s layout engine, Gecko 1.9.
For end users, Firefox 2 remains the current version. A second beta is planned for December 2007 and at least three total beta releases are planned. The public release for Firefox 3 is not expected until early 2008.
